Shoot for the Moon...

7/13/2014

Last night was the first of three super moons set to happen this summer. A super moon occurs when the moon is both full and at it's closest distance to earth. This effect makes the moon appear bigger, closer and brighter than any other times in the year. It's amazing to see.

So of course, I set up my camera and tripod last night to get some photos of this amazing moon. It was a little cloudy, so I didn't get that full on shot I wanted, but I think the clouds add a dramatic effect.

Here are my favorites. Enjoy!

    About Andrea

I'm a Bethlehem based photographer with a focus on people and places! I love capturing couples, families, and babies, as well as photographing nature, landscapes, cityscapes, and street photography.

I'm married to my best friend and we're parents to a crazy cat named Nesta and a rescue pup named McLovin.  In the summer I enjoy hiking, riding my trail bike along the Delaware or Lehigh canals, swimming at the Jersey Shore, and tending to my backyard vegetable garden. In the winter I ski almost every weekend at Shawnee Mountain. I also love to cook, read and travel.  I come from a loud & crazy Italian family, which means I am loud & crazy most of the time!
