Peace Valley Park is a 1,500 acre park located near Doylestown PA . It is part of the Bucks County park system and surrounds Lake Galena, a man-made lake created by the damming of the north branch of the Neshaminy Creek. Also at the north end is the Peace Valley Nature Center, opened in 1975 by Carolyn Corey Jarin. She was a naturalist, an educator, a conservationist, a story teller, a mother, a grandmother, a friend, and so much more. Known to me as just Corey, this post is in her memory.
On the morning of her memorial service, I had a family photo shoot in the park, at the other end from the nature center. I arrived 45 minutes early and took some pictures of the lake in the morning calm. I hope you enjoy these pictures, but I also hope that you will visit the park and the nature center, and enjoy the place that Corey so loved.
