Baby Bobenich 1-18-2015

When my friend Jenna found out she was pregnant, she asked me if I could take newborn portraits once the baby arrived. I was nervous, since I'd never done a newborn shoot before, but I had 9 months to prepare after all, so of course I agreed! And I do really just love babies!!

Baby Bobenich arrived on January 9th, 2015 and we made plans to do the shoot a week later. After reading everything I could find (books, blogs, articles..) on newborn shoots and watching countless youtube videos, I learned that the first 10 days are the best for these types of shoots. That way baby is a little less alert and sleepy.

We set up the shoot in the master bedroom, with layers of towels and blankets on the bed, and a space heater on full blast (note to self, do not wear a sweater next time!) to keep baby nice and toasty. The shoot took longer than any I've done before (I expected this) and was also my favorite! Little Bailey was such a sweet baby and I could have taken her picture for days!

We did a few different set ups and experimented a bit, and of course got a few with big sister Paige!  Here are some of my favorites from the shoot. Enjoy!

I'm a Bethlehem based photographer with a focus on people and places! I love capturing couples, families, and babies, as well as photographing nature, landscapes, cityscapes, and street photography.

I'm married to my best friend and we're parents to a crazy cat named Nesta and a rescue pup named McLovin.  In the summer I enjoy hiking, riding my trail bike along the Delaware or Lehigh canals, swimming at the Jersey Shore, and tending to my backyard vegetable garden. In the winter I ski almost every weekend at Shawnee Mountain. I also love to cook, read and travel.  I come from a loud & crazy Italian family, which means I am loud & crazy most of the time!
