The Salley Family was no exception. You could tell how much they enjoy each others company and how much they treasure their time together. I’m so happy I was able to capture this family during their vacation in the woods! It was a lot of work, photographing six separate families and the family as a whole, but it was so much fun and I am so thankful they chose me for the task!
I love photographing big families, partly because I come from one, but also because of all the personalities you get when you photograph them. You have the little kids that are sassy and just too cute, the proud grandparents, the goofy cousins, and the siblings that revert back to their youth when surrounded by so much love. Where to begin? This couple is the definition of goals. They are so in love and compliment each other so darn well. And they laugh, a lot.
I've known Elayne a very long time as she is one of my sisters best friends. We've been on vacation together and she attended my wedding, so when she told me she was engaged and wanted ME to capture these photos for her, I was thrilled and honored and so excited (I may have cried happy tears)! We had the best time during the shoot. Elayne is a blast to be around and Chris is just as fun. He's a pilot for a commercial airline (so cool) and, in my opinion, has a strong resemblance to a certain Mr. Clooney. The morning was filled with smiling and laughter, just the way it should be! Central Park in the spring is a glorious place! New York winters are bleak, dirty and depressing. It's cold and wet and sometimes there is so much snow they don't know what do do with it all. So when spring finally comes to the city, New Yorkers rejoice! And a day in Central Park is one of the best ways to celebrate the warm weather!
I recently spent the day walking around the park photographing the spring blooms, the park goers, and the animals in Central Park, who despite a morning drizzle were happy for the warmth. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day! |
