Below are the photos I took while walking around the city, and at the bookstore. I'll post the photos from Central Park separately, since I took so many!
My husband works in NYC and recently, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of our first date, I joined him in the city for a few days. Since he was working during the day, I set out to explore the city on my own. I mostly spilt my time between Times Square, where we were staying, and Central Park, with one quick subway ride down to 12th and Broadway to hit up The Strand Bookstore. Below are the photos I took while walking around the city, and at the bookstore. I'll post the photos from Central Park separately, since I took so many!

Back in March, on the first nice day of spring, I went for a stroll on the Delaware Canal Tow Path and downtown Easton. I took these shots, but just got around to editing this morning!
One of my favorite things about living in the Lehigh Valley is the proximity to both city and country living. Bethlehem and Easton are just minutes from my house, but so are the rivers (Lehigh and Delaware), countless parks, farms, tow paths, mountains and hiking/biking trails. The first set of photos here are from the start of the tow path on the Delaware River. Back in the day, the canal and tow path was used to transport coal and other goods from Philadelphia to Easton using barges and mules. While those are long gone, the canal and tow paths are still there and are excellent for walking, biking or running. The second set of photos were taken the same day inside the Easton Public Market. It's a great little city market and one of my favorite places in the Valley to grab some produce, fish, snacks or lunch. |
