A-Day at the County Fair

On our second date my husband and I went to the fair (A-Day to be exact) and among other things, watched the pigs race. Not a typical activity for a second date, but ten years later it remains one of my favorite days. We've gone a a few times since then, but felt we needed to go back this year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of that memorable second date!

The A in A-Day stands for activities, though I grew up thinking it meant agriculture. I thought this because A-Day is held at Delaware Valley College, which is an agricultural college in Doylestown Pennsylvania. The fair has bouncy rides, pony rides, face painting and games for the kids and there are rows and rows of craft vendors for the adults. And of course there is food. Lots of food!

In addition to all that, the main purpose is for the students of DelVal to showcase various agricultural displays and exhibits.  There are equestrian shows, sheep sheering and milking demonstrations, livestock competitions, a tracker parade, and  of course the aformentioned pig races (oh yes!). We had a lovely day on a gorgeous Sunday, accompanied by our good friends and their kids.

Yesterday was such a great day! It was the first warm and sunny Easter Sunday we've had in a long time and it really made the day so nice! We had a relaxing, laid back brunch at my sisters house, complete with lots of smiles, breakfast pizza and Bloody Marys!

Levin Family Spring Photos!

I love this family like they are my own family, because in a lot of ways they are! Erica has been one of my closest friends for the last seventeen years.  I was there when she met Sam, when they got married, and when all three of these adorable kids were born. We have shared so many memories together and I am completely honored to be able to capture their family memories for them!

We spent the afternoon in the park, playing in the flowers and enjoying the warm weather. There were smiles, there was laughing, and there was one little girl who got really mad at me for not letting her pick the daffodils! But at the end of the day, we had a great time and I somehow managed to capture this crazy family!

    About Andrea

I'm a Bethlehem based photographer with a focus on people and places! I love capturing couples, families, and babies, as well as photographing nature, landscapes, cityscapes, and street photography.

I'm married to my best friend and we're parents to a crazy cat named Nesta and a rescue pup named McLovin.  In the summer I enjoy hiking, riding my trail bike along the Delaware or Lehigh canals, swimming at the Jersey Shore, and tending to my backyard vegetable garden. In the winter I ski almost every weekend at Shawnee Mountain. I also love to cook, read and travel.  I come from a loud & crazy Italian family, which means I am loud & crazy most of the time!
